Debra Nadelhoffer

        Debra Nadelhoffer has had a love for color and creating since she was a child. Rainy days spent inside coloring or painting were her favorite childhood activities. Nadelhoffer majored in art in college, but married early and continue her art education independently, mostly through books and the occasional workshop. Nadelhoffer was the president of Southeastern Pastel Society for seven years. Her process often begins with plein air oil painting which she then uses as references for her pastel studio work. Today she continues to paint in oils and pastels with a passion for landscapes.

         Most recently, she has had paintings accepted into the Oil Painters of America 25th National Juried Exhibition, Southeastern Pastel Society 17th International, American Impressionist Society 16thNational Exhibition, American Society of Marine Artists Regional and National, the American Women Artists 2015 National Juried Exhibition and one into Oil Painters of America Juried Salon Show of Traditional Oils at Beverly McNeil Gallery in Birmingham, AL in October. Nadelhoffer is an invited artist in the Olmstead Plein Air Paintout in Atlanta, GA 2016,  and was invited to participate in the 2015 Door County Plein Air Festival, was an exhibiting artist at Southeastern Wildlife Expo in Charleston, SC in 2014, 2015 and 2016. She was awarded the AIR in 2012 and painted in the Acadia National Park for 2 weeks in the fall. Nadelhoffer is currently a member of American Impressionist Society, Oil Painters of America, American Society of Marine Artists, American Women Artists, a master signature member of Women Painters of the Southeast, and a signature member of Southeastern Pastel Society.
