James Swanson
Jams Swanson, a signature member of American Impressionists Society and Oil Painter of America is originally from Beloit, Wisconsin, and has now settled in the Chicago area.
​
Early in Swanson's collegiate education, he believed he would become a Park Ranger but soon found that he was better at painting trees than identifying them. He eventually transferred to a professional art college where his brother taught. Swanson received his BFA in illustration from The Columbus College of Art and Design. He has spent his years working as an Art Director for Ad Agencies and illustrating for large companies such as ESPN, US Open, Soap Box Derby, and more.

Swanson has recently had work juried in over 20 art shows and galleries around America.
