JR Gork

JR Gork (pronounced “Jork”) is a West Michigan artist who is inspired by iconic architecture, nature, and the communities near and dear to his heart. An artist for over 40 years, JR has worked in ceramics, pencil, oils, acrylics, and water color. He gravitates toward acrylics for his current work.

JR holds a degree in Art and Business Administration from Wittenberg University. He and his wife Martha live in Grand Haven, Michigan where they split their time between their home and their family cottage along Lake Michigan. They have two children and two grandchildren.
