Mary Beatrice McWatters, known as Mary Bea, grew up in Petoskey, Michigan- where sunsets, garden dirt, and beach stones first sparked her love for nature and creativity. From early memories of crayons and clay to earning a BFA from Northern Michigan University, Mary Bea has followed her curiosity across the globe, working in gardens and exploring art in many forms.

After years designing vibrant landscapes on Mackinac Island, she returned home to start Mary Bea Art. Though she dabbles in a variety of art forms, her painting is rooted in playful wonder, natural balance, and bold color. Mary Bea’s creations invite connection with the curious child in all of us: the sunset chaser, outdoors adventurer, gardener, and dreamer.
