Trisha Witty

Trisha Witty is a self-taught artist working mostly in oil from Harbor Springs, MI and has been a practicing artist for over twenty years. Witty began her career in art at a young age, selling her first oil painting at just fifteen years old, and opening her own exclusive gallery at age nineteen, in 1992. Witty was able to balance painting, running a business and attending the University of Michigan until graduating with three liberal arts degrees in 1995. After college, Trisha began travelling abroad, spending three years in Miami Beach, while running another gallery in Naples, Florida. The majority of Witty's work concentrated on her travels to the Caribbean and Southern Florida landscapes. Through her travels and experiences, Witty has not only been absorbing the beauty and color of her subject matter, but the culture, arts, and essence of each community she resides in and travels to.

Recently, Witty has been working with the developer of Bay Harbor in Michigan, Mr. David Johnson, and was the first artist given access to paint his on going development, Oil Nut Bay, in the British Virgin Islands. Witty continues to gain recognition from enthusiasts and collectors, her originals remain in high demand and increase in value every year.
